This Isn't All About Kids Fighting Cancer...
When people think about Ronald McDonald House, probably the first thing that comes to mind is about families with kids battling cancer -- and there certainly IS a lot of that going on.
However, these wonderful homes-away-from-home host more than families whose kids have cancer. RMH is a haven for families dealing with a variety of health issues that make it necessary for one or more of their kids to end up participating in long-term hospital stays.
Take, for example, the inspiring story of the Hinton family and how being able to stay at Ronald McDonald House
made things so much easier for them just by providing an escape from a 100 % diet of the hospital experience.
Their beautiful, healthy baby daughter's life was touch-and-go for 20 days due to a choking accident. Three years later, their daughter is an inspiration who lifts people's spirits just by being her sweet self ... a whole lot like Larry!!!
At this time, he's 958,880 away from his 12,000,000 tab collected for Ronald McDonald House of Indiana and is looking forward to going down to Indy from November 29 until December 4.
As you can probably imagine, he's like a little kid at Christmas when he talks about his upcoming trip!
As in the past, he'll be staying at The Hampton Inn in downtown Indy, and, if you have tabs and want to meet him, you can go there. If he's not in when you arrive, you can generally find out where he might be.
One place where it's sure that he'll be is at Home For The Holidays Open House that will be held at Ronald McDonald House on Tuesday, December 1, from 2 - 7 p.m.
The street address is:
Ronald McDonald House of Indiana
435 Limestone Street
There are details about this party on the homepage of their website.
